Trunk Access

Description

Trunk Access lets you access a specific trunk directly. No toll control or ARS checking is done when you use Trunk Access. This feature is used when a maintenance phone is required.

NOTE: On the EX platform, individual trunk access is not supported as ISDN, T1, and FXO trunks are not assigned trunk numbers when programmed.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

During dialing, you have only the option of hanging up. Once you are connected to the trunk, all of the features appropriate to the Class of Service are accessible.

To access a specific trunk:

  1. Lift handset.

  2. Dial the Individual Trunk Access feature access code.

  3. Dial the four-digit trunk number.
